Rules on suckage

"Peter Jackson, who is co-producing the upcoming Halo movie, has announced that he has partnered with Microsoft to create new spin-off games for the Xbox 360."

A movie spin off from a game usually sucks and a game spin off from a movie usually sucks but this is a game based on a movie based on a game. Will the suckage compound?

The transfat scam

New York city might cut out all trans fats!! Doughnut makers might be doomed!!

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15020846/?GT1=8506

This super unhealthy voodoo about transfats needs to stop!!

All transfat is, is a cross breed of unsaturated fat and saturated fat.

Saturated fat raises your bad cholesterol a lot and does nothing to good cholesterol
Trans fat lowers good cholesterol a bit and raises bad cholesterol a bit.

Translation, They are equally bad for you!!
People need to quit jumping on the uninformed idiot bandwagon.

Are you a nerd, geek, or dork?

http://www.okcupid.com/tests/take?testid=9935030990046738815

Pure Nerd
52 % Nerd, 30% Geek, 30% Dork

For The Record:

A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.
A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.
A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.
You scored better than half in Nerd, earning you the title of: Pure Nerd.

The times, they are a-changing. It used to be that being exceptionally smart led to being unpopular, which would ultimately lead to picking up all of the traits and tendences associated with the "dork." No-longer. Being smart isn't as socially crippling as it once was, and even more so as you get older: eventually being a Pure Nerd will likely be replaced with the following label: Purely Successful.

Congratulations!

For the record... I never liked Bank of America to begin with

Here is an article from the below website

How the Bank of America blunder went down

By now, you’ve probably heard the story of the San Francisco man who was arrested and jailed when he tried to verify the validity of a check at Bank of America branch. Clark found out about this story and talked with the man, Matthew Shinnick, who has spent about $14,000 in legal fees to clear his name. It all started when Shinnick posted two bicycles for sale on Cragislist and received a check from a man for more than the cost of the bicycles. He went into his bank to see if the check was legitimate and verify that there was money in the person’s account. He was told it was a valid account and so he cashed the check. At that point, BOA employees called the police and Shinnick was arrested on fraud charges because the check was actually a phony. He had no idea that the real criminal had used the name of a legitimate company to fake a check. So, Matthew sat in the bank branch for hours while police figured out what to do and then spent the night in jail. Once he got out, he wanted to clear his name legally so the arrest would not come back to haunt him. He had to hire attorneys to do this and it cost him nearly $14,000. He then went to Bank of America and asked that the bank cover his fees because it was the bank’s error. But so far BOA has refused. This kind of treatment sends the message that banks only care about their bottom line and nothing about their customers. It's unacceptable and it's time to fight back.

And apparently it isn't the 1st time either!! A woman got arrested for trying to cash a real check from a real account that she suspected was fake!!!

Flavor transfer

I was sifting through some a somewhat old basket of candy trying to find something good. All the candy was wrapped in their wax paper/aluminum looking packaging. I selected a chocolate piece and ate it. It tasted somewhat fruit-like as did many other pieces. From Milky Way to Tootsie Rolls they all tasted fruity, like the other candy I had not eaten.

How does the scent of wrapped candy permeate its water/air tight packaging and another's packaging to change the flavor of all the slightly weaker flavored candy?!?

The exact science of this has always baffled me.

Not to be racist or anything

But what is the hell with Mexican's choices of colors!! Living in Tx and Ca I have seen some of the tackiest orangish pinkish buildings I have ever seen!! I heard of some sort of fact in a historical art museum that in ancient Mexico a very high percentage of them were color blind. Could that be a reason?

(I personally like madonna but this headline deserved to be mocked)

Sing us a little diddy Mr Leprechaun!!

"Combs -- formerly known as Puffy and Puff Daddy -- has used the moniker P. Diddy since 2001, but last year decided to be known solely as Diddy."

I mean they already use and make up new ebonics crap that most of us have to use an ebonics dictionary to understand a single song!! How many names does this dim-wit need?

From now on P. Puff diddy daddy will now be referred to as Inferiority complex idiot #1.

The good and the bad

I was scouring the internet, trying to find any info on the 07 honda f4i's (or whatever they will call it) but the only thing I could find is on 07 honda shadows!! I don't give a flying flip about harley-style cruisers!! They never change. Cruisers all look like the same piece of crap design they started out at 30 years ago!!

On the other hand

You never know if you see an old cruiser or a new one. There isn't any new technological advances in harley-style cruisers, there is no great designs, there is no desire to upgrade. If anything cruisers are the absolutely LAST motorvehicle of anyone to ever upgrade to new technology (Hell even the $30k Valkrie doesn't even have fuel injection) You are living your life in a stagnant time period but in some ways that can be good.... just not for me.

(After I posted this the 07 600RR is out)

Who likes good news?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060905/ap_on_re_as/afghanistan

Here is a small sampling from the above website

"KANDAHAR, Afghanistan - U.S. artillery and airstrikes killed between 50 and 60 suspected Taliban militants Tuesday, the fourth day of a NATO-led offensive in southern Afghanistan, an alliance spokesman said."

"The Afghan Defense Ministry also said 200 militants had died since Saturday — increasing its previously reported toll of 89. The dead included four Taliban commanders and 12 of their bodyguards, a ministry statement said, citing intelligence reports"

All beef!!

When you go to the store and you get good hot dogs would you get regular hot dogs or all-beef hot dogs?

If you are anything like me I go for the all-beef. Unfortunately, it always falls short of my taste expectations. I mean it is all beef, beef is good!

But then I started to think about it. A hot dog should be pork not beef!! Thats why the all-beef variety never tasted any good!
